THE CHALLENGE
In the wake of the pandemic, this UV-C
disinfection systems provider had a great opportunity to communicate their offerings to an audience seeking higher safety standards.
This called for a rapid overhaul of their site experience.
THE PROCESS
Collaborating with a team of strategists, product managers, developers, and brand team stakeholders, we worked page by page — from strategy to deployment — in a series of two-week-long sprints.
How might we help organizational leaders and facility managers understand the superior benefits of UV-C disinfection?
THE RESEARCH
A separate team of strategists and analytics specialists pulled together current site behaviors, search metrics, and sales team interviews to develop user insights, helping us discover our primary users and their needs.
Simultaneously, my direct team conducted an audit of the current site experience as well as direct and indirect competitor experiences:
How does the page meet user needs?
How does it help meet business goals?
Are the page features easy to use?
Is the content easy to digest?
Does it surprise and delight?
This assessment influenced new features and content flow.

THE PLAN
Based on our findings, the team aligned to priority pages to refresh to best meet our potential customer needs and current sales team needs.
Together, we workshopped low-fidelity wireframes. I then created higher-fidelity wireframes that inferred photography, design, and copywriting direction.

DESIGN, DEVELOP, DEPLOY
To scale our team's productivity and promote design consistency, I created a design system for the team to follow as we created high-fidelity mockups of each page based on approved wireframes.
Data visualization allowed sales team members to succinctly explain R-Zero’s point of difference.
As we designed new site features, front-end developers were close collaborators to ensure feasibility and efficiency in development.
